The 5k orchard run grant
The 5k Orchard Run supports passionate dreamers from the UpCounty area who imagine the world to be a place of love, justice, compassion, and provision. The 5K Orchard Run prioritizes local groups who have a vision, a plan, and a following to make their corner of the world, locally or globally, as it should be.
How does the grant work?
Clarksburg Church, the organizers of this event, does not monetarily profit from the race. 100% of the proceeds from the race are donated to race benefactors - groups who applied and were accepted as race benefactors. The nature of these grants depend on the number of registrants that chose to run for your organization when they register. For example, if the 5k Orchard Run earns $15 per registrant, and 10 registrants signed up to run for your organization, your group will receive $150.
NOTE: It can take up to three months for benefactors to receive monetary donations after the race.
The benefits to participating in The 5k Orchard Run goes beyond monetary donations. This is an opportunity to share the work your organization is doing and invite the UpCounty community to participate. Upon acceptance, applicants are required to provide information about your organization for promotional purposes as well as attend and represent your organization on race day. Any group that does not have representation on race day, Saturday, November 23, 2019, will forfeit their proceeds.
Additionally, you may not solicit or approach racers to select your group on race day. All proceeds are strictly dependent on registrants who choose to run for your group. If found in violation, proceeds may be redistributed to other groups.
